Creative ability and working spirit of painter Giang seems not to get down together with time. Giang continued to create a series of new artworks. Each Giang’s exhibtion is each time Giang brings new emotion to Giang’s art lovers.
Artworks displayed in the exhibition FREEDOM are records by paintings about his emotions for strip of land of Vietnam: Central Part. He was really impressed by the pure beauty here – coastal land with dense rivers and streams, tents, typical small houses, rice fields, trees, boats, fishing-nets … Those are signals of strong vitality. Those are also value of the life in Peace, of Freedom.
Through artworks of painter Giang in this exhibition, we see the most general feature is that he only used bright and brilliant colors. Owing to that, we realized the strong emotions of painter. Moreover, throught lines, strokes, the way of expression in paintings, Giang’s art could be indentified so clearly.
The most prominent feature of Giang’s works for this exhibition we perceived immediately is that Giang really succeeded in technique to create space. Then Giang’s landscapes do not only bring to the viewers soft, peaceful and warm emotions as what inherent in his Painting but also make us feel, fall in the deep space and easily recognize its immensity. Therefore, the emotion we gained when enjoying the paintings is stronger. It seems the space embraced us so that we stray into and discover it. The painting “The beauty of Vietnam’s Central part I” is a typical example. In this painting, the depth of space is expressed not only on land but also in its reflective part - water. The space is divided into many layers which are far, very far, near, very near; high, very high, low, very low - “deep”. Each detail expressed in paintings by Giang was really careful and meticuluos and thus the painting’s effectiveness is also very clear. Water’s purity in the central of painting is only the opening and suggesting detail for a series of following details. The method of expression of reservoir going into rice field is the expensive detail, really especial and valuable one. We feel like as we are present there and enjoying this space. Giang is not realistic artist and Giang’s art is not also realistism. Until this exhibition “Freedom”, we realize obviously that expressive technique in Giang’s paintings seems to reach to the necessary height of the skilful brush. Lines of trees in the distance are continued detail to make the contribution to creating attractiveness of space. The creativity of brightness and darkness in the rice field is the next detail to help us observe each piece of rice separated by wind, feeling heaviness of rice laden with paddy grains, of crop more abundant than usual.
“The Beauty of Vietnam’s Central Part I” is really distinctive painting with especially expressive effectiveness. An significant stamp we also realize through paintings in this exhibition of Giang is the difference of expressive technique in each painting. That is Freedom. Giang wishes the exhibition Freedom to bring feeling of Freedom to the viewers. We can be aware of the strength of Freedom in manifestation, Freedom in creativity, Freedom with idea and Freedom flying with strokes. Each painting of Giang is a surprising of painter for us with that Freedom.
